FREE Student Session: Let’s talk about the NBCOT® National Certification Exam!

March 1st, 2019 from 8:00-10:00am

Please join us for a FREE Student Session at the 2019 NOTA Conference on March 1st to be held at Nebraska Methodist College - Clark Building, located at 720 N 87th St. in Omaha, NE.

Barbara Williams, DrOT, MS, OTR, Associate Director, External & Regulatory Affairs with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. will be providing information on preparing for the NBCOT national certification examination, the examination application process, and benefits of certification.

The mission of NBCOT is to serve the public interest by advancing client care and professional practice through evidence-based certification standards and the validation of knowledge essential for effective practice in occupational therapy.  NBCOT demonstrates these practices by developing, administering, and continually reviewing the certification process based on current and valid standards that provide reliable indicators of competence of the practice of occupational therapy.

Students will have networking and bagels/muffins from 8-8:30. The presentation will be from 8:30-10am.

You won’t want to miss this event! NBCOT will be able raffling off 2 StudyPak tools to those that register and attend. These StudyPaks contain the following:

  • A Pre-Test and 2 practice tests
  • Mini Test questions that provide the answer and rationale – 200 for OTR and 150 for COTA
  • Full Practice Exam that provides the same format and # of questions you will receive on your exam day
  • Online Study Guide with practice questions that include the answer and rationale – 200 questions for OTR and 175 questions for COTA (please note you cannot print the online version)
  • Flashcards (1000+ for OTR and 800+ for COTA)
  • Knowledge Match Game (32 games for OTR and 24 games for COTA)
